For the first time ever, this year VB-Airsuspension had a stand at the Interschutz trade fair in Hanover, held between 8 and 13 June 2015. Interschutz is the leading international trade fair for everything to do with fire prevention, rescue equipment and vehicles, emergency and disaster response, safety and security. More than 1400 exhibitors from 49 different countries took part in Interschutz 2015 and visitors attended from every continent of the world.
On the VB-Airsuspension stand, the chassis fitted with “Generation ll” air suspension for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter/Volkswagen Crafter proved to be a real crowd puller.
Several improvements have been made to the air suspension for the rear axle (VB-FullAir 2C). These include modifications to the shock absorbers and the compressor box, and the “Generation ll” kit is now supplied with an air tank as standard helping to improve raising and lowering times.
The intention was to let players in the fire safety industry see that air suspension from VB-Airsuspension is more comfortable, and to demonstrate that air suspension provides for a more stable and safer ride, reducing the time it takes to get to an emergency.
In addition, there was a great deal of interest in suspension for the Sprinter/Crafter, Master/Movano and Daily as well as for pick-up vehicles. Pick-ups are gaining in popularity as rescue vehicles capable of being flexibly and rapidly deployed.
The fair was the occasion for many interesting talks with both visitors and other stand holders: all-in-all a successful first outing to Interschutz for VB-Airsuspension.
We look forward to the next fair in 2020!
